I was born in Poland.
After graduating from high school I entered the Jagiellonian University in
Krakow, Poland and after two years I transferred to Uppsala University in
Uppsala, Sweden. In 2004 I received a Master’s Degree in English, with a
concentration in history and linguistics.
While in Uppsala I was involved in a number of educational projects at the
Uppsala Program for Holocaust and Genocide Studies. In the summer of 2002
and 2003 I was working at the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum,
Oswiecim, Poland where I was teaching World War II and the Holocaust history
to English and Swedish speaking visitors. I was also a volunteer in my
hometown’s synagogue, the Jewish Educational Center and the International
Youth Meeting Center. Since September 2004, I have been teaching twentieth
century world history and AP European history at Brewster Academy,
Wolfeboro, New Hampshire.
When not at school or work, I enjoy hiking, ice and rock climbing and
travelling. Some of my favorite places include Prague, Czech Republic, Saas
Fee, Switzerland and Chamonix, France.
